How to Apply

Please read through the following instructions carefully before applying for the Exchange Student Program:

Step 1. Participate in the NTU Study Abroad Expo and Make Early Preparations
Step 2. Attend the Selection Briefing and Read the Guidelines
  1. At least be in their first year of undergraduate/first year of graduate study at NTU; and
  2. For undergraduate applicants, a GPA of at least 2.44 or a class rank in the top 50% in the 2021/2022AY (as recorded in their class rank certification) is required; and
  3. Shall meet the language requirement(s) of NTU and the host university.
  1. Applicants that are about to attend, are currently attending, have completed, or due to exceptional circumstances had terminated an ongoing exchange student program; or
  2. Applicants that had completed registration, but later renounced their admission.
  1. Students enrolled in an in-service education program; or
  2. Students that have completed registration for a college/department-level exchange program, and are to depart for their program in Semester 2, 2023/2024AY.

Warm reminders:

  1. Each applicant will only have one chance to reupload all insufficient documents (altogether) to the application system.
  2. Resume and Exchange Study Plan are not open for reupload.
  3. Applicants that fail to replace all insufficient documents will not be eligible for the internal screening.
Step 5. Check Your Internal Selection Score and Complete the First Listing of Preferences

  1. Applicants that fail to submit their preference list will automatically forfeit their assignment.
  2. After submitting their list of preferences, applicants may not request to make any changes under any circumstances.
  3. For non-English speaking countries, applicants must make sure if there are enough English-taught courses to choose from.
Step 6. Check Your Internal Selection Decision and Complete Registration

  1. Applicants that fail to complete their registration within the designated time frame will automatically forfeit their admission/placement, and will be eligible for the Second Listing of Preference.
  2. Applicants that have also been admitted to college/department-level exchange programs for 2nd semester, 2023/2024 AY may only register for 1 of their admitted programs.
  3. Applicants are advised to keep their own copy of their documents, as submitted documents will not be returned. After registering, students may not withdraw their registration under any circumstances.
Step 7. Second Listing of Preferences (if applicable)
  1. The quota for the first and second listing of preferences are not explicitly related.
  2. Applicants that fail to submit their preference list will automatically forfeit their assignment.
Step 8. Complete Second Registration Procedure (if applicable)

  1. Applicants that fail to complete their registration within the designated time frame will automatically forfeit their admission/placement.
  2. Applicants that have also been admitted to college/department-level exchange programs for 2nd semester, 2023/2024 AY may only register for 1 of their admitted programs.
  3. Applicants are advised to keep their own copy of their documents, as submitted documents will not be returned. After registering, students may not withdraw their registration under any circumstances.
Step 9. Participate in the Pre-departure Info Session and Await Application Notification Emails From the OIA
