GSP 2023 consists of two tracks: Asian Insights and Sustainable Futures (NEW), with 13 courses specially designed to empower students with the necessary knowledge and skills from these emerging disciplines.
Asian Insights
_● According to McKinsey & Company, “Asia has the potential to fuel and shape the next phase of globalisation“.
_● By 2040, when students are in the workforce, Asia will account for about 52% of global GDP in terms of purchasing power parity, which means Asia represents abundant opportunities.
Sustainable Futures
_● According to Forbes, Millennials and Gen Z’ers, who will make up the bulk of consumers in the near future, would spend more on products from a sustainable brand, due to their stronger concern about the environment.
_● Their focus on sustainability would then become opportunities for businesses, making sustainability a valuable knowledge for your students (the future workforce) to pick up on.

This is a three-day program at intervals designed for university students who are willing to do their research at the Graduate Schools of Yokohama National University (YNU). This program will provide participants lectures on advanced research at YNU, as well as deepen their understanding of Japanese culture and society. The main topic for this year is the Global environment and Sustainability.
Beside the seminars, participants will have the opportunities to obtain the information about the admission guidance, job hunting circumstances and the exciting online tour to a Japanese city of middle age called Kamakura.
All the sessions will be held in English basically and some Japanese as well.

<THE 2023 IACOCCA GLOBAL VILLAGE EXPERIENCE>
The Iacocca Global Village Experience continues to evolve as we introduce new and exciting activities, workshops and experiences to our program. Our single page Overview of GV 2023 is attached to this email for your easy reference and distribution. The attached flyer has all the details but I wanted to highlight a few things.
<Application Deadline and Program Fees>
The Selection Board will start reviewing and accepting applicants earlier in order to accommodate possible delays when applying for VISAS. Early application deadline is January 15, 2023 and final deadline is March 19, 2023.
The GV 2023 program is meant to fit the needs of students and professionals of today and tomorrow. We are constantly trying to improve the original program format to make it relevant to today’s world. The best part is that the program fee remains at USD$7,500 again this year, and we are still able to continue to offer each of your candidates the USD$2,000 partner discount for GV 2023.
<Visa>
All applicants that don’t currently have a valid Visa to enter the US will have the option to apply for a B1/B2 Visa or a J-1 Visa. We are recommending candidates to apply for a J-1 Visa because the interview wait time is significantly shorter, less than 2 months for most countries.
<THE 2023 IACOCCA GLOBAL VILLAGE SCHEDULE>
May-June 2023: GV 2023 begins with a flexible virtual experience designed to fit around applicants’ schedules and whether they have professional or student obligations. Villagers will engage with their mentors and Guides, Lehigh University’s faculty and alumni and will begin to work on their leadership plan and create concrete goals that will guide their in-person residency.
June 24-July 29, 2023 – The in-person residency at Lehigh: Villagers will arrive on our campus in June and will begin their journey with the full-time Iacocca Global Village residency on the campus of Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. The Villagers will live, work, learn and play together. They will participate in workshops; design challenges; community service; meetings with community leaders, faculty, global professionals, entrepreneurs and mentors. Villagers will also enjoy local site visits and events and trips to New York City and Washington D.C. (Trip destinations are subject to travel and safety restrictions.)
August-November 2023: The GV 2023 Experience will virtually follow the Villagers back home. They will have a chance to develop and launch a leadership project and take it back to their community, company or school. They will stay connected to the Village community with continued virtual programming and full access to Iacocca Institute staff, faculty and alumni network mentorship. This phase is optional for the Villagers.
